The system is a complex of simple noise sensors (microphones) placed in beehives, connected with the central computer using Bluetooth.
This system record and analyze acoustic background in beehive and allows to solve two basic problems of beekeepers:
1) control of bee’s wintering – in this period the loss of bee-families reaches 10-40% and using our system allows to reduce this loss up to 3-5%;
2) diagnostics of bee-family’s swarming impulse in summer – in this period the loss of bee-families reaches 30-50% and using our system allows completely exclude this loss).
The main advantages of the system are its low cost and the possibility of replacing human labor by machine, in combination with high informativity (the ability to diagnose major diseases of bees), and reliability.
